How to select a search engine
Opening an internet explorer:
•Press `Start` in the bottom left-hand corner.
•Select `All programs` and then clink on the ` ` this then loads an internet page.
Choosing a search engine:
Once the internet page has loaded, you are then able to chose a search engine, for example, `yahoo` by typing in the type of search engine in the top right hand corner of the internet page.

Searching for local current news:
Searching for local current news is similar to selecting a search engine. If you was to open a search engine and type “Current news in south east London” – depending on the area you live in. You will then have access to current news within your area.
The following screen shot shows another way on how to search for current local news: This search engine is through Google and is generally effective.

How to save a link as a favourite

Saving a link as a favourite:
To save a link as a favourite you must select `Favourites` in the toolbar at the top of the internet page. You then see the following drop down list.
Once you have selected the `Add to Favourites` you will then see a box appear with the following information.
You will then need to click `Add` and the link will be saved as a favourite.
If you wish to organise your favourites then you can click the `Add` button and then click `New Folder` this then organises your favourites.
