Bootable Usb Pen drive is simple and fast way to format y our PC or Laptop. After formatting y ou can

easily install windows in y our sy stem. Bootable usb pendrive has several advantage as like easy

formatting, easy copy and past windows file and after that easy to installing windows. Now we are

discussing some important step to make bootable pen drive.

Plug-in y our pen drive in Laptop.

Go to Start >> Ty pe Cm d (in search program and file) [Press Enter]

After pressing Enter command prompt will open.

Step 3 :

It will show all available disk in y our sy stem. Disk 0 is usually hard disk of y our sy stem. In my case Disk

1 is Usb pen drive (This can be different in y our case so plz make sure )

Step 5 :

Ty pe SELECT DISK 1 [Press Enter]

Step 6 :

Ty pe CLEAN [Press Enter]

Step 7 :

Ty pe CREAT E PART IT ION PRIMARY [Press Enter]

Step 8 :

Ty pe SELECT PART IT ION 1 [Press Enter]

Step 9 :

Ty pe ACT IVE [Press Enter]

Step 10 :

Ty pe FORMAT FS=NT FS [Press Enter]

Wait Until 100% complete.

Step 11 :

Ty pe ASSIGN [Press Enter]

Step 12 :

Ty pe EXIT [Press Enter]

Now bootable usb pen drive is ready to use. After making this copy and paste windows 7 or 8 in y our

pen drive. It is easiest way to install windows 7 or 8 in y our sy stem.

When y ou want to install windows, plug-in bootable pen drive and restart the sy stem and press boot

function key as per different sy stem (f1——-f12) .

Note :

Before m aking bootable usb pen drive plz m ake sure that y ou are using only one Pen

drive at this tim e. T his process is only for windows 7 or 8 not for Xp.

Hi,

I have step by step but my pan drive is not working as bootable. when I’m restart my computer and try

to boot from usb then it’s not work and move on hard disk boot can you tell me what have wrong. I

think any last command you have missing to write. because pan drive is not bootable. can you please

check this again? or suggest me what I’m doing wrong. I have already tried 4th time with your step by

step guidline…but not success to make bootable.

you type format fs=ntfs >> press enter (wait until 100% complete) then type assign.

Sachin, If you format your C Drive then your installed driver will lost. Save your all driver

software and data in another Drive except C Drive as like E,F. Then format only C drive.

Vishal, C drive ki windows file pen drive me copy nahi karni hai kyunki ye work nahi karegi.

agar aapke paas windows 7 ka software hai to use pen drive me copy kare. aur agar nahi to

kisi friend se le sakte hai. Kuyn ki C drive ki windows file pre installed hoti hai.
