How to Make a Powerpoint Tutorial for Your Wordpress

Status Update on FACEBOOK

On your Desktop, locate Start

After clicking, locate Microsoft Powerpoint icon and click to open

When it opens, you will see a blank presentation

Click first slide and press Delete button on keyboard

Slide is deleted

Locate New Slide from toolbar, click it

We see a dropdown menu of slide formats

Choose Title Only

Click to add title appears

To add title, click on this text box

When done, you can edit text

Text must be highlighted if you want to edit it.

Click “Calibri” to change font

Change letter style

Change Letter Size

Change letter color

To choose, click the font name

Click here if you want to change font color

Based on settings made, our example may look like this:

Yes, it is off center. Just drag the text box lower.

beginning a new slide

Want to insert an image here?

First, we need to get the image.

For that slide, we need an image of

www.facebook.com in the browser

Open your browser and type www.facebook.com here

Resize the browser window to the MINIMUM SIZE.

To get the image, press Alt-Print Screen on your keyboard.

Next, click under the title.

Press Control-V

Image is now on the slide

For example you only want to use this part of the image

Click here to Crop

A frame appears around the image to be cropped

Point mouse to the bottom, depress the mouse button, and move mouse up

Depress the mouse button,

and move mouse= DRAG

Bottom of image is now cropped

Next, point mouse to the side and move left

Right part of image is cropped

When done cropping, click here again

Image has been cropped

To adjust image size, click the image

Next, drag the white box corners of the image

To adjust image height, drag mouse here

To adjust image width, drag mouse

When desired size is achieved- we have this

Point mouse to image box so image moves to the center

Image is now cropped and placed where we want it

Let’s now work on the third slide

What does Control-S do?

Habit- Always press Control - S

Follow the steps previously learned here in typing text

and inserting images

Notice the small arrow on the slide?

Arrows are very important when making a presentation

It should be seen even by the people from the last row of the room

To make a visible red arrow, click

With the mouse, point to draw arrow

Click here to change color of arrow

Next, select Red for our arrow

Size of our red arrow needs to be adjusted, too. Click here again

Next, click on Weight then point and click on More Lines

Format Shape window opens

Delete the number here and type 20

When done, click Close

Our arrow is now visible

Control-S

We can now work on the rest of the

presentation

applying what we have learned

End your presentation with an encouraging message

Save as PDF (2011 Version only)

Click this icon again

Click Save As, then PDF

Click Publish

You now have the presentation in PDF format

Close both PDF and Powerpoint presentations by clicking here
