How to force Windows 8 to install non digitally signed drivers.

1. From the desktop, mouse over to the right and bring up the “charms”.

2. Click on settings, change PC settings.

3. Click on General, then advanced startup(restart now button).

4. Click on troubleshoot.

5. Click on advanced options.

6. Click on Windows startup settings.

7. Restart.

8. Type in 7 for “disable driver signature enforcement.”

9. The computer will then reboot. At this point you can install Flash Update from our website. Or reinstall the

drivers if you previously attempted to install Flash Update. Start by right clicking on the screen and click on “all

apps.”

10. Click on control panel

11. Select System and Security.

12. Select Device Manager.

13. Select ports (Com & LPT) and right click on IAR LPS2468(Applied Instruments Virtual Com Port)

14. Select update driver, and then click on search my computer for driver. And locate the C:\FlashUpdate folder3

15. After the driver installation completes, (you may need to click “install device driver anyways”) connect your

meter and run Flash Update.
