HOW TO DOWNLOAD A VIDEO FROM YOUTUBE

Step 1Download Real PlayerIt’s a free download.

**For help, contact the person from your department, or put in a technology request form, which is found on the Rowe webpage under the “Faculty” tab.

Do a Google search or go to

http://www.real.com

STEP 2Hover over

the top right corner of the

video until you see the “Download this video”

tab. Click on this tab.

Your video will download into the Real Player

Downloads library on your

computer.

STEP 3

To watch your video:

Open the program

Real Player.

STEP 4

Click on Library to find your

video.

You can watch your video from Real Player.

STEP 5Continue if you would

like to convert your

video…

Click on “Convert” to convert the

video to WMV.

A second window will pop

up.

STEP 6

Click on the arrow and you

will see…

A new screen pop up.

STEP 7Choose the type of

video file you would like to convert it to. I recommend WMV

(Windows Media Video). Click OK.

**You may have to click on the Recently Used/Popular down arrow if you don’t see WMV on this screen.

STEP 6

Choose the location where you would like your video to

be saved.

You have now downloaded and converted your video

and saved it to your computer or USB drive.
