How to Apply for Graduation

*The following information is step-by-step instructions for the screens you will go

through when completing the application*

1. LOG INTO ULINK WITH YOUR ULID

4. CURRICULUM TERM SELECTION

Click SUBMIT

Note: This represents the semester you are currently registered for, it

DOES NOT require you to change anything.

5. CURRICULUM SELECTION

a. If the section is correct:

i. Select the button next to Current Program and Click Continue.

b. If the section is blank:

i. You may already have an application on file

ii. Not currently enrolled in courses

iii. Have a cumulative GPA below 2.0

c. If the information displayed is incorrect:

i. Please CONTINUE the application

d. For sections b and c, please email the Registrar’s Office

(graduation@louisiana.edu) and our office will help identify the issue and

determine a solution.

6. GRADUATION DATE SELECTION a. Please select the CORRECT Graduation Date and then Click Continue.

7. DIPLOMA NAME SELECTION

a. The section will let you identify the name that needs to appear on your

diploma. However, this name must reflect the name in our system.

b. If you need to change your name in our system, please complete the Name

Change Request Form and return it to our office.

c. If you do not update the name in our system in order to match your

diploma, we will not put the new requested name.

Select Continue

*Please note: If you want your middle name spelt out or just the middle initial,

you DO NOT need to complete the form. It is required for complete name changes

(i.e. different first name, different last name).

a. Confirm your name once more and press Continue.

9. DIPLOMA MAILING ADDRESS SELECTION

a. This section will not allow you to complete or view anything, so click

CONTINUE and then verify your address once you COMPLETE the

application.

b. Once you complete your application, check your address through ULINK.

If the address listed is incorrect, please submit the Change of Student

Information Request Form.

10. GRADUATION APPLICATION PAYMENT

a. Select APPLICATION FOR DEGREE $90.00 Application for Degree and

Click Continue.

i. Please remember to pay the fee through your Statement of Account

on ULINK.

a. This page allows you to see what you have filled out on your application.

After review, click Submit Request.

13. The graduation application can be viewed by clicking on View Application to

Graduate on the signature page.

How to Pay Application Fee

*The following information is step-by-step instructions on how to pay the

application fee*

1. After completing your application, you will need to pay the $90 fee through your

Statement of Account.

a. Please note that even if you are applying for a future term, the fee with

show up in your CURRENT statement of account.

2. Select the Tuition & Aid Tab on ULINK.

3. Select view your statement or pay your bill

4. Click Make a Payment

a. *VERY IMPORTANT* If you are receiving any type of aid (i.e. loans,

Pell grants or scholarships) it will not allow you to pay for the application.

Once your account has balanced out, verify that your statement of account

has a $0 balance or a hold will be placed on your account. Applications

WILL STILL process even if you are unable to pay at the time of

submission.

5. The Account Payment screen will appear. This will allow you to select different

options. The option you need to select is Pay by Line item:

a. Then select the Application for Degree and click Continue.

6. Payment Methods can either be an Electronic Check or Credit Card.

a. Select the type of payment and click Select.

7. A confirmation page will appear to verify your selection before continuing.

a. If everything looks okay, select Continue to PayPath.

8. The final step will be to pay, please select Continue to complete your

transaction.
