HOW TO ADD DEVICE IN CMS

Dear Valued Clients:

Thanks for your trust about JZTEK!

Recently we’ve got some mails from clients, they mentioned they are unfamiliar with how to add

device in the CMS software. Then this manual comes. Please spend several minutes to check it,

hope it can help you!

Preparation:

1. Please make sure you’ve installed CMS software in your PC, you can visit www.xmeye.net or

our website www.jztekcctv.com/downloads to download and install CMS software.

2. Please make sure your DVR be connected to internet.

Steps:

1. Find the icon as below,

2. Doule click your mouse on the left to run it. Window pops out as below, you only need to

click “login”.

3. Now you already in CMS software, next step is to add the device you want. Please click

“system” on the right lower corner. Refer to below picures:

a.Click “system” here.

b.Click “Device Manager” here.

c.Step1:click “Zone List”; step2: click “ADD AREA”; step 3: assign a zone number, for example

“1”;

d.click the zone number you assigned, then click “ADD DEVICE”.

4. Now you’re ready to add the device you want:

a. If your PC, which runs this CMS, are in the same LAN with the device you want to add;

Note: if you have changed device login user name and password (default is admin, no

password), it will show error, need to input your new user name and password here as

below:

b. If your PC, which runs this CMS , not in same LAN with the device you want to add;

Follow steps below to input informations:

1. Device name: you may assign a name for this device.

2. LoginType: please select “Cloud”.

3. Serial ID: Please find your device serial number, <main menu>--<info>--<version>--serial

number.

4. User name&password: default is “admin”, password is empty, if you have assigned new

user name and password, then MUST input new ones.

5. Click “OK” to finish adding device.

Step1: double click the device name, till all channels come out.

Step2: click any channel you want to show video.

Step3: double click any of the camera channels list on the left.

Suggestions:

1. Please buy one Hard disk for recording and playback, HDD MUST BE for surveillance,

NOT for DESKTOP or LAPTOP.

2. CVI camera signal is special, better use CVI camera alone.

3. If your monitor is old, when you connect with HDMI cable, monitor might have no

video; Please use VGA cable, and make sure your VGA cable is working fine.

4. If your network won't connect, Please go to <main menu>--<system>--<network>,

select "DHCP Enable".

5. Default adapter is 12V 2A, better power cameras separately; and for 2TB or larger

HDD, kindly change a larger power adapter.
