For every waking hour this is ~5 times per hour or once every 12 minutes of every hour they are awake.

Juniper reports that 90% of all Indian internet users who accessed web services in 2008 did so on mobile phones.
Note: this is “WAP” on basic phones and HTML web on “feature phones” without 3G. Most of India’s internet-use phones are not smartphones.
