• Choose a mild, spicy or hot text and

questions.

• Complete the questions in your jotter and

answer in full sentences.

• Check the answers at the end to see how

you got on with your work (on the website).

• Evaluate how you got on and think about

what challenge you should choose next

time based on how you performed today.

• For example, if you made zero errors

maybe you should try a trickier challenge

next time. If you made a number of errors

in your work, maybe you need to select a

slightly easier challenge next time.

• To calculate the perimeter of shapes

• To know the perimeter is the

measurement of the distance around

the shape

• Add all the sides together to find the

perimeter

• Record answer using correct units of

measure (e.g. cm or mm or m)

• Use mental maths strategies to help you

find the answers (adding mentally, use

chimney sums, doubles)
