This course is for care workers presently working in a social care setting who want to advance their career. It will enable you to consolidate your skills and earn a certificate.

Personal statement 2 Highers at C grade or above (incl. English) plus Numeracy Standard Grades at Grade 1 or 2 or SVQ level 3 in Health and Social care
Successful students can progress onto degree programmes (Social Work, Social Science, Nursing and Psychology) and are SSSC-qualified to register as workers in residential child and adult care services.

*Fees for year one will be £690 and year two will be £690. Applicants may be eligible for a SAAS Part-time Fee Grant of up to £500 per year; you can apply at www.saas.gov.uk. Applicants who already have a full SVQ 3 in care will undertake four fewer units resulting in a total cost of £920. Fees for year one will be £660 and Year two £260. Applicants may be eligible for a SAAS Part Time Fee Grant of up to £500 for year one and may be eligible for ILA funding for part of year two; you can apply at www.saas.gov.uk
