Did You Know? St. Cyprian Historical Fact #1
THREE OF THE STATUES IN THIS CHURCH CAME FROM ST. CYPRIAN PARISH?
Celebrating the 125th Anniversary of the Establishment of St. Cyprian Parish
(St. Anthony was located in the upper left corner; the Sacred Heart was located on the middle left; and St. Cyprian was located at the upper right side.)
St. Anthony St. Cyprian Sacred Heart
When the Holy Comforter and
St. Cyprian parishes merged in
1966, many artifacts were saved
from St. Cyprian and stored at Holy
Comforter. Among the saved
artifacts are the three statues seen
at the top of this flyer. Msgr. Pope
had the statues restored recently
and placed on wooden pedestals
in the sanctuary.
The photo to the right depicts the
old St. Cyprian Church in 1950 with
the three statues.
