What is an AP Course?

Advanced Placement (AP) is a program run by College Board (the makers of the SAT) that allows you to take courses in your high school that can earn you college credit and/or qualify you for more advanced classes when you begin college.

What is an AP Course?

- The official AP exams take place during the month of May of every year and the official scores are released in July.- The AP scoring scheme is out of 5, with 1 as the least grade and 5 as the highest grade.- Usually a grade of 3 and above is considered to be good in any AP examination.

What is an AP Course?

-If a student attains high scores in the APcourse, some universities exempt him/herfrom taking that respective course in his/herfirst year of undergraduate education.

-'High scores' depend on the universities’requirements, but in general, a grade of 4 or5 is considered a high score.

What is an AP Course?

- In other cases, some topuniversities ask students to take APsas an admission requirement toapply and get accepted into aspecific program.

How to Register for your course?

Very Important Notes

Registration for courses willbe open from Tuesday, April30 at 5:00 pm till Sunday,May 5 at 5:00 pm.

Very Important Notes

Each course in every semester hasthe capacity of only 30 students,so we recommend students finishthe registration process as fast asthey can to avoid disappointment.

Very Important Notes

If the course the student wishes toregister in is full, he/she has tochoose another course and keepchecking during the remainingperiod of registration, for somestudents might change their courses.

Very Important Notes

If the registration period is over andthe student still wishes to change,he/she has to refer to his/her HoSto put his/her name on the waitinglist and help him/her wheneverpossible.

Very Important Notes

To be eligible to register foran AP course, the studentshould have a currentaverage of 90 & above inthe same subject.

Very Important Notes

Even if the student iseligible to an AP course, the final enrollment mustbe approved by his/herHoS/Principal.

Very Important Notes

If the student chooses to register for an APcourse although he/she does not meet theprerequisite requirement, the HoS/Principalwill study his/her case and will have theright to cancel his/her registration whichwill jeopardize his/her choice of coursesbased on availability.

Very Important Notes

If the student chooses a French,Biology, Computer or Chemistry APcourse, he/she cannot chooseanother course because it is a 1credit course (Yearlong).

Very Important Notes

AP English, AP Physics & AP Calculus areparallel courses to the core subjects, and they are not counted in theelectives, so if the student chooses anyof them, he/she can still choose electivecourses (1 AP course or 2 courses fromthe sets of electives).

Very Important Notes

If the student fails to registerwithin the allocated period oftime, the HoS will assign his/hercourses for him/her based onavailability.
