HDR(High Dynamic Range)
WHAT IS IT?
● HDR photography consists of taking three photographs of the same subject, in three different exposures (ex. -2, 0, +2)
● When merged together in Photoshop, the photograph will contain all the highlights from the overexposed photograph, but also all the shadows from the underexposed photograph
WHAT YOU NEED
● a camera with exposure bracketing (although possible to do without)
● a tripod
● photo editing software (Adobe Photoshop)
HOW TO DO IT
1. Find a cool photo subject2. Set camera to manual, or a semi-manual
mode (excluding shutter priority, as you don’t want a change in depth of field)
3. Zero the light meter, then turn on exposure bracketing, and burst mode
4. Hold down shutter button (camera will take 3 pictures)
PUTTING IT TOGETHER
● look at your files in Adobe Bridge● select the photos you want to merge
