Final report of HELCOM ALIENS 3 project • Pilot port surveys: Gothenburg

(SWE), Kokkola (FIN), Hamina/Kotka (FIN) and Sköldvik (FIN);

• Further development of the online decision support tool, created within HELCOM ALIENS 2 project;

• Drafting of the Joint Harmonized A-4 Procedure document on behalf of the HELCOM Secretariat during spring 2013;

• General support provided to the HELCOM-OSPAR TG BALLAST;

• Elaboration of dissemination material (HELCOM Guide);

• Organization of two workshops, for following up the activities to be developed within the project.

• HELCOM/OSPAR joint proposal to Life call under the LIFE Nature and Biodiversity priority action entitled “Tackling invasive alien species introduced by maritime navigation through discharge of ballast waters” under the lead by Puertos del Estado (Spain) and supported by the HELCOM Secretariat
