Both these Headbands are worked in 4ply yarn and would look
gorgeous on any baby girl.

YARN REQUIRED: Lace Headband: Approximately 5 (5-6-6) grams Patons Big Baby 4ply, 100g
balls@420m. Double Moss Stitch Headband:
Approximately 5 (6-6-7) grams Patons Big Baby 4ply, 100g balls@420m.
Quantities vary between knitters and types of yarns.
NEEDLES: A pair of 3.25mm [UK 10, US 3/4] knitting needles.
Wool needle for sewing up.
TENSION: 28 sts and 36 rows to 10cm [4 ins] over stocking st, using 3.25mm
needles.
ABBREVIATIONS: beg = beginning; cm = centimetres; cont = continue;
ins = inches; K = knit; P = purl; patt = pattern; rep = repeat; st/s = stitch/es; tog = together; yfwd = yarn forward.

LACE HEADBAND Using 3.25mm needles, cast on 72 (80-90-96) sts. 1st row: K1, * yfwd, K2tog, rep from * to last st, K1.
2nd row: Purl. Last 2 rows form lace patt.
Cont in lace patt until Headband measures 3 (3.5-3.5-4) cm [1¼
(1½-1½-1¾) ins] (or width desired) from beg, ending with a purl row.
Cast off.
FINISHING Join side seams. Sew in all ends.
DOUBLE MOSS STITCH HEADBAND Using 3.25mm needles, cast on 77 (87-97-105) sts.
1st row: K1, * P1, K1, rep from * to end. 2nd row: P1, * K1, P1, rep from * to end.
3rd row: As 2nd row. 4th row: As 1st row.
Last 4 rows form double moss st.
Cont in double moss st until work measures 3 (3.5-3.5-4) cm [1¼ (1½-1½-1¾) ins] (or width desired) from beg, working last row on
wrong side. Cast off in moss st.
FINISHING Join side seams. Sew in all ends.
