ed in losing weight. He also highlighted howthis device works, what it consists of and howeasy it is to insert and remove the Obalonafter the desired weight is reached.

Prof Genco explained that Obalon balloonconsists of a capsule containing a balloonthat is swallowed and then inflated and assuch it will occupy the upper space in thestomach to create a feeling of fullness to helppeople eat less. Additional balloons can beswallowed and inflated during the treatmentperiod depending on the response of thepatient. At the end of the treatment period,the balloons are removed through a shortendoscopic procedure.

The entire procedure takes only 15 min-utes with no sedation required.
