Since June 1, 2016, the Head Start Management Team has gone throughmany changes in leadership: a new Director, the resignation of the ChildDevelopment Services Manager, and the transition of the Champaign SiteManager to the Child and Family Services Manager’s position which left theSite Manager’s position open. Change is healthy in every organization, andI am happy to report that our team remains strong.

On June 21, 2016, the Head Start Management Team worked withcommunity providers and partners as well as direct services staff to reviewmonitoring results and create recommendations for improvement for theprogram’s annual Self-Assessment Report. I will be sharing the report uponcompletion.

We have not received any updates on the award notice for the Cost ofLiving Adjustment (COLA).

Site Manager Kathy Turner compiled the Parent Survey Results for 2015-2016. The report is now available for review and will be posted on thewebsite and at the centers.

The Head Start Management Team worked on the in-service training fornew and returning staff. The team scheduled trainers to present informationon nutrition services, social/emotional development, and speech/languagecommunication delays.
