National Centre for Physics is organizing a mini symposium in memory of late Prof. Stephen Hawking. This symposium will consist of lectures about Hawking’s scientific achievements and his life struggle including
a key note lecture.

come from, where can we go?”
Prof. John C. Mather is one of the pioneer ofprecision cosmology. His work on the COBEsatellite project led to the confirmation of the BigBang theory and he was subsequently awardedthe 2006 Nobel Prize in Physics. He is currentlyworking as a Senior Astrophysicist at NASA’sGoddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt,Maryland.
