DEVELOPMENTAL TASKS ARE MILE MARKERS ALONG THE TEENAGE HIGHWAY

1. DEVELOP MATURE RELATIONSHIPS WITH PEERS OF BOTH GENDERS

2. ADOPT SOCIALLY APPROVED GENDER ROLES

3.ACCEPT BODY AS IT IS AND MAKE THE MOST OF THE BODY YOU HAVE

4. Become Emotionally Independent from Parents and

other adults

5. PREPARE FOR MARRIAGE AND FAMILY LIFE

6. SELECT AND PREPARE FOR A CAREER

7. ADOPT PRIORITIES IN KEEPING WITH PERSONAL GOALS AND SOCIETAL EXPECTATIONS

8. ADOPT SOCIALLY RESPONSIBLE BEHAVIOUR                          

Responsibility: Responsibility is doing what you are expected to do, when you are asked to do it or maybe even doing it on your own! Each person is responsible for his or her behaviour and actions.

-Each stage has developmental tasks- Your assignment as a group is to take the information given to you and create a small poster presentation on that particular stage and the developmental tasks within it. We will present these tomorrow.
