Hannibal in Italy

By: Patrick Markvart

Hannibal was the son of Hamilcar.

Both Hamilcar and Hannibal were from Carthage.

People from Carthage were called Carthaginians.

Hannibal was very close to his father Hamilcar.

Hamilcar hated the Romans!

BeforeHamilcar died Hannibal promised him that he would fight

the Romans.

The Romans lived in what is

now Italy.

Hannibal marched

his army all the way

from Spain to Italy.

Hannibal tricked the Romans

by attacking from the

north over the

mountains.

Does anyone know what the name of the mountains in northern Italy

are called?

That’s right, they are called the

ALPS!

The Alps are very high and cold.
