Reading
Daily reading at home is the best way to help your child progress.
Please encourage your child to change their reading book as often as they need to.
Your child will read regularly to an adult. When we feel that they are ready to progress we will record this in their reading diaries.
We really appreciate your comments and check them regularly.

We really appreciate your support with spelling.
As in Reception and Year 1, your child will be given individual targets at parents evening.
Further information about our topics can be found on the Year 2 page of the school website.
A weekend trip to a local exhibition or activity centre can be a brilliant way to stimulate your child’s learning and interest.
If you have expertise or experience in a particular area we would love to hear from you.
