Bhiwandi is a major textile processing cluster covering yarn and fabric. Nobody can forget the Bhiwandi’s contribution during last 25 years fulfilling the requirements of the textile industry post Mumbai textile strike. Today Bhiwandi is catering mainly to the domestic markets - shirting, dress material & processing for garment industry. It carries out toll manufacturing for many major textile companies. During last 10-15 years, significant developments have taken place in textile processing in machinery, dyes & chemicals, dyeing processes. There is global awareness about environment, safety, pollution control and regulation with respect to use of certain dyes & chemicals. It is need of the hour that the Bhiwandi processors update themselves in all these aspects which will enable them to meet the challenges in domestic as well as in global markets, where both quality with economy counts.
Keeping in view these requirements, The Textile Association (India), Mumbai unit has planned a half-day seminar at Bhiwandi.
The topics were specially selected after discussions and understanding the requirements of Bhiwandi processors. The Seminar will cover the practical applications as well as the new developments in the same fields. The seminar will be addressed by the experts.
