Travel Protocols For Entry
Into Guyana
Complete the Passenger Locator Format https://guyanatravel.gy. and submit24 hours prior to travel.
Submit a negative molecular biologicalpolymerase chain reaction (PCR) testresult recorded within 24-72 hours priorto arrival.
If PCR test is more than 72 hours, thetraveller will be required to do asecond PCR test on arrival to Guyana.
Antibody tests, rapid test or antigentest will NOT be accepted.

Travellers are required to wear amask at all times during the arrivalprocess up to and including departurefrom the airport.
Travellers must observe the physicaldistancing guidelines of six feet at alltimes.
Travellers must practice good handhygiene.
Children under 2 years old are notrequired to wear a mask.
GENERAL GUIDELINES UPON
ARRIVAL

Before disembarking the aircraft, thetraveller must have his/her COVID-19PCR test results visible. These resultswill be screened for validity by ourPort Health Officers.
Children above 2 years old mustpresent a valid negative PCR test.
All travellers must provide a valid localtelephone number verifiable by PortHealth. Travellers will be required tomake a call to the telephone numberprovided for verification.
DISEMBARKATION

All travellers must undergo a healthassessment. This includes atemperature check.
If the traveller's PCR test is more than72 hours, he/she will be required to doa PCR test at the Airport.
Children below the age of 13 will notbe required to undergo a second testupon arrival in Guyana.
Results will be made available within6-8 hours of sample collection.

The traveller requiring a second testwill be allowed to leave the airport butmust remain in quarantine until he orshe receives the test results.
If the traveller's test is positive, s/hewill be transported to an alternativeaccommodation for isolation, untilfurther advised an authorised HealthProfessional.
Travellers who are deemed to havebeen in close contact with a positivecase will be quarantined at anapproved government facility.

Travellers found guilty of making falsedeclaration or presenting falseinformation will face prosecution underthe Laws of Guyana.
