Green gram idli
Often touted to be the world`s healthiest foods, lentils like green gram and urad dal are highfibre foods. They are also low in calories making them a dieter`s favourite.
Ingredients:
Green gram - 1 cupUrad dhal - 1 handfulSalt and green chilliSoda bicarbonate - 1 tsp (Add it when u make idlies)
Method:
1. Soak the green gram and urad dhal together by add salt and green chilli to it.2. The coarse should not be to fine.3. Pour the batter in the idli moulds , steam it for 8 minutes.4. Serve hot with ginger or garlic chutney.
Note: If you`re using the batter immediately add soda bi carbonate.
