Revivals in Progress in BoonvilleCommunity

Two revival meetings are inprogress in the Boonville com-munity this week.

Rev. A. S. Hale is holding aseries of meetings at BoonvilleBaptist church through next Sat-

urday night. The revival startedMonday night.

The services are held twicedaily, at 2:30 and 8 p.m. The ev-ening services are being well at-

tended. Mr. Hale is pastor ofFirst Baptist church at Mt. Airy.

Last Sunday night a series ofmeetings started at Charity Bap-

tist church which is located twomiles southeast of here. Rev. Mr.Jordon, the pastor, is being as-sisted in this meeting by Rev.Clete Simmons, pastor of OakRidge Baptist church. Simmonsis just a young man in the min-istry, but he has made a finerecord.

The meetings at Charity willprobably last through Sunday

night.

COOL SPRINGSA successful revival meeting

was held last week at CoolSprings church. Rev. DeweyArmstrong, of Winston-Salem,assisted the pastor, Rev. I. W.Vestal, in the services. Much in-terest was shown throughout themeeting and scores of peoplefrom nearby churches were pres-ent for each service. Many peo-ple from Rev. Armstrong's churchin Winston-Salem also attendedthe meetings.
