ABOUT SPP SPTMShobhaben Pratapbhai Patel School of Pharmacy & Technology
Management (SPPSPTM), established under the auspices of SVKM'S
NMIMS in 2006 is a pharmacy school which offers Doctoral,
Postgraduate, Graduate and Diploma Programs in Pharmaceu�cal
Sciences. It pioneers in postgraduate and graduate courses integrated
with Healthcare Management. The curricula designed by the school
nurtures and develops young minds into responsible Pharma
professionals who will contribute ethically to the future of Pharma
Industry, Hospitals, Community, Society and Health-care system at large.
SPPSPTM has received the pres�gious Category Award “Rajiv Gandhi
Na�onal Quality Awards” in MSME Scale Service sector by the Bureau of
Indian Standards, The Na�onal Standards Body of India, and Govt. of

ABOUT IPSIndian Pharmacological Society (IPS) was formed in 1966, with two main
objec�ves, viz., integra�ng pharmacology in medical educa�on and to
work for all round development of pharmacology.
At the Fi�h IUPHAR held in San Francisco in July 1972, IPS was declared
official Na�onal Society of Pharmacologists of India. In July 1975,
IUPHAR Council Mee�ng was held in Helsinki and IPS was authorised to
send delegates to represent India. Since then, IPS has marched ahead
and grown from year to year. There are at present more than 1500 Life
Members hailing from academics/research ins�tu�ons/industries.
ABOUT THE CONFERENCEIndian Pharmacological Society is comple�ng 50 glorious years. In view of
these celebra�ons, IPS had organised a series of year-long conferences
at different places launching the celebra�ons at 49�� Annual Conference
of Indian Pharmacological Society & Interna�onal Conference -IPSCON-
2016 from 20 – 23�� Oct, 2016 at th Postgraduate Ins�tute of Medical
Educa�on & Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh.
The inaugural of these celebra�ons happened at Conference of Indian
Pharmacological Society with the theme: “From small molecule
medicines to biologics – Shi�ing paradigm in drug therapy”- 13�� - 15��
February, 2017 at Indira Gandhi Ins�tute of Medical Sciences Patna,
which was followed by regional conferences-

ABOUT THE THEMEGiven the challenges that we face in today's world, especially with
reference to an�bio�c resistance and human quality of life, developing
safe and effec�ve medicines has become a daun�ng task. Now it has
become impera�ve to engage the researchers from different fields and
clinicians together in the drug development / discovery programme and
scholas�c programmes, which will ensure that the pharmacological
discoveries / inven�ons / workforce created can solve these challenges.
In tune with this concept, the theme of the conference is “Integra�ng
Pharmacology with Modern Healthcare”.

30�� November 2017, to the Organizing Secretary

05.
• The person who presents the paper should be first author of the
paper.
• Papers should be sent specially for the compe��on to the Organizing
