Once logged in as a Carrier, you will see the GIMS Overview page with the Store View:

You can change the View to Dispatcher by clicking the View toggle above the grid:

To Navigate to the Store Page, click on the Store Details icon button next to the Store you want to view, and you will be directed to the Store View page:

The same icon button is also available on the Dispatcher View to take you to the Store Details for that Dispatcher.

The Dispatcher Access level will show you stores that are assigned to your Dispatcher:

GIMS uses a color-coding system to indicate tank level status:

▪ Green indicates that all tanks are near capacity. No combination of any grade will fit. ▪ Yellow indicates that a full load of some combination (regular, premium, diesel) will fit.

▪ Blue indicates that a full load of regular will fit.

▪ Red indicates that a store will run out of a grade if the load is not en route, based on current burn rate and transit time. If there is an ETA planned to arrive in time, it will not remain red, unless the ETA is over 30 minutes late.

To view the details of a particular store, click the green down arrow:

Click on the store name to highlight it in gray. This will ensure that all data displayed is specific to that store.

Once you click the green down arrow, you will see the Store Summary information:

Key Points:

▪ LastUpdate: Time stamp of when GIMS was last updated for this store. This will turn red when the store is offline and tanks are not reporting.

▪ Burn Rate: indicates the number gallons of regular that the store is selling per hour, based on the 4 weeks’ sales average

▪ Transit Time: the drive time from supply point to store

▪ BestBuy: shows what the supply points are for each store

▪ New ETA: is where you enter your ETA for each load that is dispatched

▪ Tank Levels: visual level of your tank inventory. To the right of the Grade, there is additional tank information for the Tank Number, Tank Bottom, Current Volume, Ullage, and Days of Supply.

▪ Fuel Delivery ETA: populated by entering your ETA for each load. You can edit ETA’s as often as necessary.

Directives / Supply Points (BestBuy)

To determine which terminal and vendor you will load at, click the BestBuy button for Store.

BestBuy may also be accessed by clicking this button at the

top of Store Summary, to view all Stores for selected

Dispatcher:

Once you click the BestBuy button, you will see a pop-up box like this:

*You must have pop-ups enabled to view this

window.

Expand the window and scroll through the list to find the directives for each store for each grade. You must check these daily, as they are updated Monday through Friday around 7 PM and can also change during the day with a redirect to new terminal.

If you see a Store in blue text in the Store Summary, the Directive has changed recently and acts as an alert for you to check the directives.

Tank Inventory: 12 Hour History and Projection

The graph below displays inventory levels for the past 12 hours, the current inventory level at the

“0” hour, and a 12-hour projected inventory based on current inventory levels and historic burn

rates.

Store Comment

Comments indicates important information about the store. Sometimes comments are used to provide information about the fuel the store carries.

Other times, the comment provides direction when terminal should not be used, as you can see below.

Current Fuel Prices

We provide you with our current fuel prices to help you maintain inventory levels and stay ahead

of the sales curve:

Daily Sales

You can view average daily sales by selecting the grades on the tabs. This is a 4-week average.

Premium fuel that was blended with regular to make midgrade is NOT accounted for here:

Sales by Hour

Sales by Hour information that provides real-time updates, predictions, and 6-week average.

You can view the different grades by clicking the

dropdown

Communication

There are two ways to communicate through GIMS. Email is the most effective method and there

are multiple options for specific issues to report Maintenance Issue, Cross Drop, or Spills. For all

other matters, you can select MUSA Field to email the entire fuel operations group at Murphy USA.

The other option is to contact your Murphy USA HQ Contact, whose name and number is provided under Contacts.

Reference Documentation

Reference documents are located under Documentation area, as well as the navigation menu on Overview.

Outages

Any outages captured in GIMS will be displayed here on Store Details for when a Grade hits Tank Bottom. It will have all Grades that have an Outage if there are multiple.

If there are no Outages, you will see None under the Outages section.

If you have any other questions about GIMS, please reach out to your Murphy USA HQ Contact.
