Gift wrapping refers to the act of enclosing a gift in some sort of

material.

What is Gift Wrapping?

Gift wrapping in Western Culture- gifts are often wrapped in wrapping paper and accompanied by a gift note.

Gift wrapping in Chinese Culture- red wrapping connotes luck

Gift wrapping in Japanese Culture- furoshiki is a traditional cloth used in wrapping

Gift wrapping in Korean Culture- bojagi, is sometimes used for gift wrapping

Gift wrapping in Filipino Culture- giving is one proof of our being warm and affectionate.

Some tips and ideas on Gift Wrapping

• Collect generic gift wrap materials like plain red, metallic silver or white instead of wrapping paper

• Use cellophane bags (clear or printed) for small non-fragile like candies and etc.

• Make use with the hole punch to puncture personalized gift tags and paper bags.

• Have fun with seasonal stickers to decorate your gift, do not over use it

• You can make your own gift tags using any kind of paper or cardstock

• Recycle old greeting cards by cutting off the fronts of beautiful holiday cards for your gift.
