Establish Objectives

• Student Learning Outcomes (SLO)• SLO were developed at faculty workshops held in early 2012.

Align Objectives to Curriculum

• 2013 the General Education Committee went through the recertification of all general education courses.

• Courses with GenEd Status

Align Objectives to Curriculum

• Syllabi submitted for Fall 2013 cycle: 95%

• Departments submitted all syllabi by Jan 25th for Spring 14: 91.10% (missing Express courses)

Systematically Measure Objectives

• Signature assignments submitted for Fall 2013 courses using OAKS

• 95.43% of sections submitted signature assignments

• Assessment Reading Groups (ARGs) met on January 6th-7th

Analyze and Share Results

• Each department will have an ARG representative in their meetings to share results and suggestions for improvement

• ARGs will be meeting on February 14th to review results from Fall data and report on Department meetings

• ARGs will make recommendations to each area.

• Results will be posted on March 15th in OAKS and Academic Affairs General Education website

Use Results for Program Improvements

• Action plans were generated in the January 6th-7th meeting by the ARGs.

• ARGs will make recommendations for next assessment cycle.

• ARGs will report back to all departments.
