UNCTAD statistics’ portfolio/mandate

UNCTAD statistics portfolio/mandate consists in maintaining a set of economic time series mainly designed for the research work of the economists of the secretariat.

Time series tailored to the needs of economists

• Long : 40 years preferably, at least 30 years

• Regularly updated and recent data

• Continued series

• All countries of the world including least developed countries

• Harmonized to allow the combination of series and the calculation of derived indicators

Reaching wider audience requires targeting core constituencies more directly, engaging in partnerships, and maximizing all appropriate channels of communication

o Ensure effective dissemination to and feedback from main target groups
