WE OFFER GAP - FOR THE UNEXPECTED
Guaranteed Asset Protection (GAP) is a voluntary program that we offer for your
new or used vehicle loan. This financial protection covers the difference in the
balance on a car and its declared value, as determined by your primary insurance
carrier, in the event that it is damaged beyond repair or stolen and never recovered.
GAP is not an offer of insurance and does not replace your standard
comprehensive, Collision and Liability coverages, it only enhances them.
No matter how terrific a car is, the minute you drive it out of the show room it is worth less.
Depending on where you live, the established market value could be less than the actual balance
you owe on your car. With GAP, if your car is a loss, the deficiency will be covered. That includes
the difference between your primary carrier’s insurance settlement and the payoff of your loan, less
delinquent payments, late charges, refundable service warranties, and other insurance related charges. Included in the GAP payment is
your primary insurance deductible, which is covered up to $1,000 if a deficiency exists. In addition, you are eligible for an additional
$1,000 towards the financing of a replacement vehicle financed through L.C.E. Federal Credit Union. Contact a FSU Credit Union
representative for complete details on whether or not GAP is right for you.
NEW BRANCH COMING SOON!We are building a new branch on the Northeast side of Tallahassee in the new Evening Rose developement. Evening Rose is located
about a quarter mile north and northwest of the Capital Circle NE and Mahan Drive intersection. The Credit Union branch will be
seen from the west side of Capital Circle NE just north of Mahan and beside Pizza Hut. We are anticipating a January 2009 opening!
CAMPUS BRANCH GETTING A FACE LIFTFor those of you who utulize our Campus Branch, you will be glad to know that we are in the design process of a huge remodel. We
are moving back into the large two story building on the corner of the property and will have expanded drive-thru lanes, a secure ATM
and over 5,000 square feet of interior lobby space. The project is anticipated to be complete by first quarter, 2009.
Federal law requires each of the three nationwide consumer
reporting companies to provide you with a free copy of
your credit report, at your request, once every 12 months.
A credit report is used by a variety of companies to evaluate
your application for credit. It is up to you to make sure your
credit report is correct.
You may check your credit report immediately online, by
phone or by mail. Allow 15 days for phone or mail
requests.
The three nationwide consumer reporting companies have
set up one central website, a toll-free number, and a mailing
address through which you can order your “Free Annual
Report.”
Do not respond to any questions by email or phone about
your credit report. Such requests are probably a scam.
