By nine weeks, front legs are growing as well.
They look like tiny frogs with tails!
When they are twelve weeks old, the tail
starts to get shorter until it goes.
Now they are frogs.
God made the frogs.
God made me!

Frogs
Reading Made Simple
In Spring, frogs lay their eggs. They will
often lay them in shallow water.
Here are the tiny eggs, just balls of jelly
with black dots in the middle.
They are called frogspawn.
The black dots are baby frogs. They are
alive!
God has given them life.
Each day the black dots grow bigger. They
get longer and longer.
After two weeks the tadpoles hatch.
As they hatch they
rest on the jelly and
feed on it.
After four weeks the tadpoles are big and
fat. They eat plants in the water.
By six weeks they start to grow back legs.
They now eat insects that fall into the water
as well as plants.
