4 Clamped Connected Panels
Hi my name is Richard Layne, Owner/Founder of Fence Feet Limited. I started with only a pencil a ruler several pieces of wood a jar of glue a saw and an idea
I have developed a very unique set of supports/feet for temporary fencing, hoarding and
events, for which I have a design registration & patent pending, for use in the construction,
street works, events industries or anywhere temporary fencing/hoarding is used.
Protecting your construction site, street works or sporting events is not just about putting up a fence
or barrier, it is also about protecting the public, site workers and equipment in the safest possible way.
After all you wouldn’t put a plastic net around your construction perimeter and hope no one gets hurt
or even worse killed. No you would use the correct type of fence for the job. So why is it acceptable to
place feet/supports underneath the fence which don’t offer the same protection?
For many years feet for temporary fencing have been tolerated even though the industry had asked for
something easier to work with, something that could offer more in the way of how it is used and safer
for its users. Trips, muscular-skeletal injuries, trapped and broken fingers, lost man hours and
substantial claims have all been attributed to the old style of foot, and after manufacturing the old
style foot for many years I know what I am talking about. Had the feet been a similar price as the
fence would you have still been able to accept it so readily?
My company, still in its infancy, but not lacking in years of research and development into
feet/supports for temporary fencing, listened to builders, construction workers, utility and facility
companies along with fence manufacturers and their need for a more friendly foot voicing the need
for Anti-Trip feet, a foot that would remove the dangers from corners, wind movement and to be able
to use ballast without always the need for lots of accessories which take up valuable needed space
and time.
Taking on board all the suggestions and concerns I developed 4 very unique feet which resolve all of
those issues whilst still following HSE guidelines.
Safety does not have to be an expensive option!! Fence Feet “Safer by Far, Safer by Design”.

For the main foot, which we have named Bigfoot, weighs 18kg and is made from PVC regrind which is fully recyclable and environmentally friendly. Firstly note the appearance of the support. It is pleasing to the eye being mainly square and pyramid in shape, giving up to a massive 89sq.inches of more ground coverage and stability than a standard foot. Its aero dynamic shape gives it more resistance to wind velocity. There are four lifting and carrying positions which conform to the HSE Manual Handling Assessment Chart specification, and as explained below has cut outs underneath to permit safe stacking without trapping your fingers.
Although the thickness of the foot is approx. 6” (152mm) when stacked for transport the top of the foot fits into the base of the next foot making for extra stability and safety by reducing the overall height of each foot. This then makes the transportation safer and allowing at least 48 feet (4x12) to the pallet, assuming that this is a workable height. And because the base of the foot covers a more concentrated area it is more stable for transportation. Max 55 feet to a pallet 990kg
We Recommend for safe transportation the use of pallets or stillage’s
And for extra ballast we have our Little Foot which can be added to give extra weight by sitting neatly on top of our main supports, which means no need for a ballast support tray, as the holes from each foot marry to the one beneath. All that is required to secure to main fencing is a single post of the same diameter and clamp, leaving you more workable space and less hazard to site workers. It is also used in conjunction with the corner foot for barrier fencing, i.e. working in the streets, allowing maximum working space. Again easy to lift, carry and stack. Another unique aspect of Fence Feet’s group of supports is in the use as temporary animal pens in conjunction with temporary fencing i.e. sheep dog trials, storage of site blocks equipment etc., keeping the site tidy.
From this to this
For those awkward places we have the Corner Foot, which is another must for site work, street work, compounds or festivals. This is a must for inner city work where space is critical. It can be used in conjunction with all our feet and also with competitors. This is such a cool foot, a first for temporary fencing. It is also an Anti-trip and does what it says it does. So no nasty offset angles to trip over, just neat and tidy 90 degrees.
Ideal also for Utility roadwork barrier type fencing & gates
To add to our family of feet we present the Anti-Trip foot. This foot comprises of 8 holes allowing 6 pieces of fencing to be connected and clamped together without any gaps between fence posts. Having the same profile as the Bigfoot, but with one edge being vertical, it allows the edge to sit tight to the bottom of the fence. So virtually removing a trip possibility where the public pass in close proximity to the fence, or if needed it will fit tight up to a wall.
Fence Feet don’t just support your fencing we support your business
And for extra weight in windy conditions add Anti-Trip Little Foot/Ballast which is designed to fit
with this product. Tested in the Mira Wind Tunnel
All our products are patent pending and have a design registration in Europe and the USA

A The quick and easy answer is their safety in their use, giving you control of how your site is presented in the safest way, also stacking , lifting carrying and transport . All this plus being cost effective against its competitors. Q Why four pieces? A By producing four we allow for many problems found on sites, street works and at events. Examples; Non-Trip for public safety, neat and tidy corners , a ballast that fits neatly to the Non-trip reducing costs of many further accessories that take up lots of space causing hazards. One foot using the design of the holes are able to do the work of two of the old feet by connecting fence safely, and so much more. Probably the only feet you will ever need Q Are they Wind Tested A Yes (MIRA)
Q Are they a lot more expensive A Definitely not From as little as £4.44 Q I have other feet in stock , can they be used with them. A Absolutely Q What’s it made of? A 100% recycled and 100% recyclable plastic PVC regrind Q Can you deliver without pallets? A We have researched and found this to be possible, in the interest of safety pallets/stillage’s provide a safer mode for transport as you have the added benefit of both the pallet and strapping not to mention the way in which our products stack safely even when mixed together making also for easier site clearance.
