• Pimps take prostitutes away from others to have total control over them

• They are manipulated into believing anything that their pimps tell them

The emotional abuse that prostitutes face

• Pimps control prostitutes by inducing intense fear

• Due to stress and because of the emotional abuse, prostitutes are diagnosed with posttraumatic stress disorder

Prostitutes undergo a lot of physical abuse as well

Prostitutes report being beaten an average of fifty-eight times a year

A lot of prostitutes are beaten and even killed by their buyers

Prostitutes are raped, assaulted, and sometimes even murdered
