Founded in 1920 in Birmingham, Alabama, and headed by Arthur P. Bagby, Sr., Bagby Elevator and Electric Company has progressed steadily through the years. Its growth in the decades since World War II has vigorously paced the fabulous industrial development of the South. Now, with permanent offices in Birmingham and Huntsville, Alabama, Atlanta, Georgia, and Paducah, Kentucky, Bagby is in an excellent position to participate in the tremendous expan­sion of industry and business in the South and Southeast.

A factual record of the company shows its remarkable versatility. Bagby's projects include a long list of satisfied clients, both small and large. Included in this list are churches, office buildings, commercial establishments, textile mills, finishing plants, newspapers, chemical and syn­thetic fiber plants, hospitals, institutional build­ings and many assignments for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration. How well Bagby Elevator and Electric Company has exe­cuted its tasks is evidenced by the large number of repeat contracts given the company by satis­fied clients.

Bagby maintains an organization of well trained engineers, purchasing agents, accountants, expediters and other key and technical personnel, to prosecute an electrical program of any magni­tude. This competent organization is augmented by executives who devote their entire time and efforts to checking and assisting in the successful execution and completion of all projects.

It has been said that the last half of the 20th Century belongs to the South. Bagby Elevator and Electric Company also belongs to the South and in the years to come stands ever ready to perform its part in the economic development of the area.
