 Solomon Douglas has played

music and taught swing dance all over the United States and Canada, as well as in Australia, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, and the UK. His music is in high demand among swing dance enthusiasts and vintage jazz buffs alike.

For his October performance at PSTJS, Solomon has assembled this fine septet: Leading the group on piano, Solomon Douglas. On trumpet, Kevin Woods, playing trombone, Willem DeKoch, with Eric

A huge thank you – to all of you who helped bring the Schulz Frisco Band back to Seattle again this year! The gig at the Royal Room was wonderful and the Sunday performance at the Elks was over the top. They are such a great way to begin our year, and all the musicians love being here so let’s plan on another fabulous Schulz weekend

Vanderbilt-Matthews on reeds. Greg Ruby will play guitar, Nate Parker, bass, and Julian MacDonough, drums.

This band will bring us an exciting and varied repertoire ranging from the late 1920s to the mid ‘40s, calculated to have our feet stomping and our fingers popping. Notify your dancing friends and bring them along. Everybody come prepared to “burn your leather on the floor”, as Fats Waller put it, ‘cause the joint will surely be jumpin’!

September 17 & 18, 2016. Your sponsorship is so much appreciated, we’ll let you know when it’s time to do it all again.

December is Election month for PSTJS. If there are any of you out there who would like to join the board please contact me via email at jazzdancer2@msn.com. We have only four (4) board meetings

each calendar year so the time requirement for board members is minimal. However having a full board (12 total) is required by the By Laws. Giving back to the Society brings added enjoyment to the giver, so please think about volunteering for the board. Cheers, Judy
