Ακουστικό DesignΟι Θεωρίες της αντίληψης

«The equilibrium or balance, so to speak, between his intellectual faculties andanimal propensities, seems to have been destroyed. He is fitful, irreverent, indulging at times in the grossest profanity (which was not previously his custom),manifesting but little deference for his fellows, impatient of restraint or advice whenit conflicts with his desires, at times pertinaciously obstinate, yet capricious andvacillating, devising many plans of future operations, which are no sooner arrangedthan they are abandoned in turn for others appearing more feasible. A child in hisintellectual capacity and manifestations, he has the animal passions of a strongman. Previous to his injury, although untrained in the schools, he possessed a well-balanced mind, and was looked upon by those who knew him as a shrewd, smartbusinessman, very energetic and persistent in executing all his plans of operation. In this regard his mind was radically changed, so decidedly that his friends andacquaintances said he was "no longer Gage."

Definition : An environment of sound (or sonic environment) with emphasis on the way it is perceived and understood by the individual, or by a society. It thus depends on the relationship

between the individual and any such environment. The term may refer to actual environments, or to abstract constructions such as musical compositions and tape montages, particularly when

considered as an artificial environment.
