FLAG-MS is an Italy based company, founded in Turin, in april 2012.
FLAG-MS is focused on mechatronics in Automotive and Industrial field.
Since its foundation FLAG-MS was certified as innovative startup and after as small-
medium innovative enterprise from Italian government.
Since 2012 FLAG-MS is member of MESAP (Smart Product and Manufacturing).
Staff skills have been developed at Mechatronics Laboratory @ Politecnico of Turin
since 2005 in research applied to industrial and automotive applications.
More than 50% of team members have a PhD, the competences are various and
from different topics in order to cover all the following subjects:

FLAG-MS - Main Activities and Profile
FLAG-MS is a company skilled in design and realization of mechatronic systems for industrial and
automotive fields.
In the automotive field FLAG-MS pays specific attention to the electric powertrain whose development
and spread are sharply increasing in the lasts years. Main activities in this area are:

➢ Electronic control unit development for electric motor drives

➢ Battery module and battery pack development

⚫ FW development: HW abstraction layer and communication with other PWT components (inverter,
VMU, …)
⚫ Design and development of application SW. Algorithms and strategies such as:
- cells balancing & voltage and temperature monitoring
- contactors diagnosis & insulation resistance measurement
- state of charge (SoC), state of health (SoH) estimation
- charge/discharge limits definition
⚫ Interlock management and auxiliary vehicle functions (cooling, heating, …)
⚫ Safety aspects, ISO26262 ready, isolation, functional safety
