FLSmidth Customer Service Projects delivers all types of cement plant upgrades and modifications at
existing cement plant facilities. In the heart of the innovative solutions lies an emphasis on
collaboration. Whether an upgrade involves just one piece of equipment or a complete overhaul of a
production line, a close relationship with the customer is essential for success.
This kind of collaboration, built upon over many years, can clearly be seen at work at Titan America -
Pennsuco Plant in Florida. At Pennsuco, the relationship with FLSmidth began in 2005 with an
engineering study to improve operations at the plant. FLSmidth worked closely with Guillermo
Haberer, Maintenance Manager at the time, and one of the results featured the first Air Blast
Controlled (ABC) cooler inlet on the US market, installed to improve the original Controlled Impact
Section and setting the model for future retrofits."The ABC project upgrade was a significant
improvement for plant operations and maintenance, "explains Guillermo Haberer, "Collaborating with
FLSmidth has resulted in great benefits for us".
