Modular plans are approved on a State Level due to third party inspections in the Manufacturing Facility often in other States.

Modular has been very popular in the north due to colder climates and has become more popular in the south in the past years due to quality control, limited labor resources and changes in building codes to higher wind loads and updated energy codes.

In SGGI modular its required to have certified engineers for the modules structure, electrical, plumbing and HVAC.

The Bateman HouseZero Energy Prototype

It was an honor to work with the Department of Energy and LEED for Homes Team to present the First LEED for Homes House in Florida.

LEED for homes was in its infancy and SGGI was ask to participate in the prototype in participation with Florida Solar institute, Department of Energy and LEED for Homes and we appreciate the opportunity to advance Building Science.

Ms. Bateman is a believer that our resources are limited and we need to build our homes in a more responsible way. The SGGI prototype would not have been a success without the participation of Ms. Bateman… we thank her.
