Read through the fitting instructions before installation of the accessory. Install the accessory following the fitting instructions. Failure to do so may cause damage to the vehicle or the accessory.
Ensure all recyclables, discarded vehicle accessory components and packaging are recycled following local recycling regulations.
It is always recommended that this accessory is fitted by a qualified automotive Technician.
Safely store and protect any removed vehicle components.
Ensure all bare metal surfaces are protected using automotive bare metal primer and touch-up paint, or suitable automotive rust inhibitor.
Remove all metals swarf and dust from all vehicle surfaces if surfaces are used for accessory installation.

• Note down all clock and radio settings.
• In the engine bay, disconnect the negative battery terminal (1).
Important
Always refer to the vehicle’s Workshop Manual when removing vehicle components.

• Unclip the glove box dampener (1).
Remove LH retaining clip (2) by rotating anti-clockwise.
Remove the glove box (3).

• Remove the passenger’s lower dash garnish (4).
• In the LHS front cabin, remove the LHS front scuff plate (1).
• Remove the plastic nut (2) securing the driver’s kick panel (3) and remove the kick panel (3).

• In the passenger side footwell area, remove the white plastic cap (1).
• Using a large screwdriver, dislodge the carpet (2).

• In the engine bay on the passenger side, remove the smaller grommet (1).
• Insert a sharp object through the hole to pierce the firewall insulation. Note: If required, inside the cabin use a knife to enlarge the in hole in the firewall insulation.
• Feed the Electric Brake Harness through the grommet hole until the grommet is seated correctly and makes a good seal. 1
• Route the Electric Brake Harness (1) towards the driver side.

• Continue routing the Electric Brake Harness (1) across the centre console and towards the driver side lower dash area.
• Secure the harness (1) to the vehicle using supplied cable ties every 300mm.
• Secure the Brake Controller ECU (1) onto the Brake Controller Bracket (2) using supplied M4 Screws (3) M4 Spring Washer (4) and M4 Flat Washers (5).

• Inside the vehicle, using the table below, house the terminals (1) from the Electric Brake Harness into the supplied 4-Way Connector (2), ensuring the terminals lock into the housing.
• Snap off the secondary lock (3) from behind the 4-Way Connector (2).
• Fit the secondary lock (3) to the underside of the 4-Way Connector (2).

• Connect the 4-Way connector (1) from the Electric Brake Harness to the Brake Controller ECU (2).
• Connect the supplied cat-5 cable (3) to the Brake Controller ECU (2).

• Secure the Brake Controller bracket assembly (4) to the vehicle using the supplied M6 fasteners (5) in the existing holes.

• In the engine bay, secure the fused link ring terminal (1) to the positive battery terminal (2).
• Secure the harness with the supplied Cable Ties.

• Route the RED, RED/WHITE & BLUE wire branch on the Electric Brake Harness down the transmission tunnel.
• Continue routing the Electric Brake Harness (1) down the chassis rail.
• Route the Electric Brake Harness (1) across the rear bumper towards the trailer socket head.
• Secure the Electric Brake Harness using the supplied cable ties every 300mm.

Plug the cat-5 cable (1) into the remote head (2) .
Secure the remote head to the switch insert (3) as shown, (image A). Torque the nut (4)to 0.8 Nm.
Rotate the shaft (5) fully anti-clockwise and fit the knob to the shaft (5) with “0" pointing upwards as shown (image B).

• Locate ‘RED’ wire (1) on the trailer wiring harness socket head.
• Cut the wire 150mm from the base of the socket.

• Butt-splice and heat shrink the previously cut ‘RED’ wire on the vehicle end, to the ‘RED/WHITE’ wire on the Electric Brake Harness.
• Remove the cut ‘RED’ wire from the trailer socket.
• Insert new ‘RED’ wire with brass ferrule from the Electric Brake Harness into the same position in the trailer socket.

rimp both wires to the butt splice using indent type crimpers.
Solder the wires to the butt splice. Ensure that a good connection is made.
Wait for the butt splice to cool, slip heatshrink over the joint and heat.
Keep heatshrink away from joint until after soldering is complete and cooled.
• Remove the ‘BLUE’ wire (1) from the trailer wiring harness socket head (2).
• Tape back and isolate.
• Insert new ‘BLUE’ wire with brass ferrule from the Electric Brake Harness into the same position in the trailer socket.

• Re-connect the negative battery terminal.
• Test the operation of the Tow-Pro system as per the Tow-Pro user manual.
• Dispose of any parts not used from the fitment.
Important
Reprogram all radio stations and clock settings by referring to the vehicle's Owner's Manual.
Please place the Fitting Instructions and Owner’s Manual in the glovebox after the installation is completed.
ImportantSecure all harnesses to the vehicle using cable ties. Refit all removed parts and secure all fasteners to the Service Manual torque specifications.
