Should be accessing it during day by Outlook or Outlook Express, Netscape, Incredimail, or Apple Mail.

Can only be accessed outside of RPS by going to either ePals OR by using a service like mail2web.com to “pick up” your mail.

Who can get an RPS email address? Anyone who is an employee.

How do you get it? Need an Employee ID number, need to call Help Desk.

How do you find out a person’s RPS email address? Infonet Email Search

Do they get rid of your email as soon as you leave? Not usually!

What things should I NOT be doing with that RPS email address?**

Attachments Generally, PDFs are the best choice for documents. Be aware of SIZE** especially with ePals. Be aware of platform issues. Double check to be sure you SEND the attachment and that it’s the RIGHT one!

Privacy

Take one last look before you hit “send.”

Clean up emails before forwarding them.

Don’t forward hoaxes or other chain mails.

Make sure you have up-to-date antivirus software.

Put a subject on your emails.

Resize pictures before you send them.

Warn people of LARGE attachments.

Make sure your computer’s CLOCK has correct time on it.

Avoid SHOUTING and acronyms.
