Week 1: Matthew 5:23-24 Therefore, if you are offing your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to your brother; then come and offer your gift.
Week 2: Philippians 2:3 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourself.
Week 3: Philippians 2:4 Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others.
Week 4: Romans 12:20-21 If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coat on his head. Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

Dear First Baptist Church Family, Words as “thank you” cannot express the prayer felt sensation I have had all through these weeks of hip surgery and post op. Through all of the problems that developed, I still came out “smelling like a rose” because God was with me all the way. The cards, visits; all the visits to Vanderbilt and Lynchburg, how they found me I’ll never no. It was a God thing. Our church family is there for all of us. The ‘prayer chain” was awesome and so heart felt. Thank all of you so much! Keep praying for all of us. Love, Agnes Barnes
First Baptist Church,
We thank you so much for including us in the “Grace
Fund.” It helped us so much making our trips to and
from Vanderbilt. Kyle is home now after 90 days. He
still goes back 2-3 days a week for treatment. Thank
you for your prayers and kindness.
May God bless you,
Kyle Mathis and family
First Baptist Church,
Thank you so much for the very generous monetary
gift! My Bible will also be in my collection for a
lifetime. I really appreciate my Faith Family making
graduation so special

and mother, Barbara.
How gratifying it is there that love you at such a time as
this. She loved the church and was faithful as long as she
could.
We offer a special thanks to Bro. Jon, Donnie, and Chad
for the beautiful service. It was so helpful and uplifting to
our entire family. We are forever grateful.
You as my “faith family” are always in my prayers.Thank
you for being there at such a “sad time” in our lives. We
love you and hope to thank you in person soon.
In His Blessed name,
Bill Roland and family

To my church family and friends, Thank you so much for the cards, calls, food, flowers, and most of all your words of encouragement and your prayers during the
loss of my son Clyde Van Whorley. My family and I are very much overwhelmed by the support we received from Brother Jon and the organizing team that made it possible for us to have a memorial for Van to take place.

God is blessing First Baptist in great and amazing ways! People are sensing God’s movement
and wanting to join in with what He is doing. Therefore, we will continue to help each and
every person find their first and next step in following Jesus Christ. That is why we are
investing in people who want to understand how to be the best members of His body at
First Baptist. Come and experience “Starting Point” on June 3rd and 10th in the choir room at
9:30 am. If these dates conflict for you then join us for our other “Starting Point” experiences
every other month throughout the church calendar year.
