NewBoardMember DianneSchuldt,whoboughtahomeonWatrouswithJimRiley,wasborninMilwaukee,WIandraisedinasmalltownnearthere.DianneattendedUWOshkosh,andgraduatedin1972withaBSinnursing.Sheworkedherentirecareerinhospitalsinmanystates,withthelast22yearsincriticalcare.Itwasallveryrewarding. DiannehadanunclewholivedonClearwaterBeach,sosheknewtheareabeforemovinghere.Diannesays,“WewereveryhappytofindahomeinDelightfulDunedin,whereJimandIarecurrentlyinterestedinwaystokeepDunedinquaintanddelightful.”ParkingatLakeSaundra

WeaskedtheCitytoremovetheNoParkingsignsonthelakesideofPalmBlvd.,whichtheyhavedone,soitisnowlegaltoparkonthestreet.Peoplearestillparkingcarsandgolfcartsonthegrass,whichputsoursprinklersystematrisk,andcouldbealiabilityissuewithourinsurancecompany.Pleasekeepyourvehiclesoffthegrass!

BoatsandTrailers Wewanttokeepourcommunitylookinggood,andwhileyourtrailerorboatmaybebeautifulinyoureyes,itisaneyesoretoyourneighbors.PleasehelpusenforceDunedin’scity-wideordinancesregardingboatandtrailerstorageonprivateresidentialprop-erty.Youmaynotstorethemondrive-waysorstreets,andwenotifythecitywhenahomeownerisinviolation,whichcanmeandailyfines.

LetterfromthePresident Whenyouarethepresidentofavoluntaryassociationthathasalonghistorylikeours,youtendtoinheritallkindsofoddsandends,mostlyonpaper,butalsothingslikelicenseplatesforgolfcartsandevenagavel.About42yearsago,inFeb.1974,someonetookituponhimselforherself(itisn’tsigned)towriteahistoryofFairwayEstates,thenabout20yearsold. Itsfirstsentenceisinstructive;infact,itstronglysuggeststhattheauthorwasaman.Seewhatyouthink:“Justasittakesthreenumberstodescribethephysicalattributesofacomelyyounglady,sodoesitrequirethreenumeralstopinpointthelocationofaresidentialsubdivisioninFlorida.”Anunusualintroductionforthehistoryofasubdivision,inmyopinion...
