Faction Carnival Fun
Congratulations to everyone who participated in the Faction Carnival held on Friday, 18th October. A great day was had by all and the results were as follows.
Primary School Dear Parents, Caregivers and Community Members, 2020 Planning If you know your child/ren will not be attending Endeavour Schools next year, can you please advise the school office as soon as possible. Having accurate student numbers will ensure we are adequately staffed, will help us structure classes appropriately and will reduce the likelihood of us having to restructure classes in 2020. An Apple for the Teacher Last Friday was World Teachers’ Day and it was a good opportunity to celebrate the effort our teachers put into being the best they can be for your children. Students wrote messages to teachers on the back of an apple image and these messages were placed on special trees around the school. There are some great messages on the trees which acknowledge our staff and the dedication, care and creativity they bring to their classrooms every day. Halloween Whether we celebrate Halloween or not, there will be a lot of families and children out in our community tonight. Remember to stay safe and be respectful to others around you. Endeavour Tokens The new Endeavour Token system was formally launched last Thursday after the Learning Journey. Congratulations to Ava Casci for her winning design. Students earn tokens by demonstrating positive behaviours such as the ones described below for responsibility. They receive a special certificate for each 20 tokens they earn with prizes awarded as they work through the different levels. Certificate winners will have their names placed on a Hall of Fame outside the staffroom and announced over the PA . New Automated Siren Endeavour now has an automated siren so all siren times will now be on time every day. The new siren has a different tone and some other useful features such as an evacuation and alert signal if we ever need them. Greg Croll - Acting Principal
Education Support Centre Dear Parents and Caregivers, Our ESC Camp preparations are almost complete with some busy days, fun-filled nights planned and a wonderful menu. We are all looking forward to it and hope that you are too. This is such a great opportunity for our students to experience a range of new experiences and environments which have been selected specifically for the needs of the students. I’d like to thank all our staff who have already put in an enormous effort with planning, preparing and volunteering to make this happen for our students, without supportive staff this could never happen! And if you get the chance please let them know you appreciate their time and effort too. Counting down the sleeps till we go…… We’ve been very busy in the first few weeks of this term with Learning Journeys, YOH Fest and our Castaways sculpture. We appreciate all the support you have given us and your children in helping them to truly ‘belong’ within our wider community. I understand that sometimes that takes extra effort on everyone’s part but it’s worth it and I thank you for all that you do. We’re now hoping to finish the year off with some more of our students participating in our community so please keep reading your newsletter and checking our Facebook page and school app for more information. We are currently in the process of planning 2020 classes for both students and staff. We will start the year with a slight increase in student numbers and continue with 6 classes catering for our students from Kindy – Year 6. There will be some teaching staff and Education Assistant changes for 2020 which I will let you know about as the staffing selection processes are completed. This week sees the first of our two Kindy Orientation sessions, starting with a parent information session and then a transition day for our new students. We look forward to meeting you all and welcoming you to our Schools. If you have any questions at any time please feel free to come and see us or give us a call. We are always here to help. Early notice – Walk Safely to School Day will be coming up once again this term – date to be announced shortly That’s all for this time, Jayne Gorbould - ESC Principal

Positive Behaviour Expectation In Focus: Responsibility
Our student leaders define responsibility as taking ownership for your actions. This
includes accepting both positive and negative consequences for our actions.
At Endeavour Schools the positive behaviours we strive for our students in relation to
responsibility are:
I care for my school environment.
I use all equipment in a safe way.
I return equipment that I have borrowed.
I am punctual to all activities.
I look after my own and others’ equipment.

A huge well done to the Senior Choir, Junior Choir, Yoh Dance Group and flautists, Will Minchin and Evie Newbold, for your fabulous performances at last week's assembly. You excelled yourselves and we congratulate you on your efforts. Keep up the great work! Congratulations to our hard working Yoh Dance Group for your performance at the Yoh Fest Grand Final last Friday night, at Mandurah Performing Arts Centre. You did a super job and coped with the nerves tremendously. We are very proud you. Thank you to Mrs Cross for choreographing the dance, teaching the dance and organising ute-loads of equipment and costumes. We hope to see this dance one more time on the evening of the Christmas Concert in Week 9.
