Facebook Tutorial

Click on the “button” to view the CLMA Facebook Page

This tutorial will teach you how to “like” the CLMA Facebook page

First visit www.org.org

If you are already a Facebook member login

If not, click “Sign up for Facebook”

You must be logged in, in order to “like” a profile page.

The rest of the tutorial will teach you to sign

up for your own Facebook page

Click Like to join the CLMA Facebook page

Fill in your first name, last name, email, password, gender and date of birth

Click “Sign up” button

After clicking Sign up for Facebook

Facebook requires all users to provide their real date of birth to

encourage authenticity and provide only age-appropriate

access to content.

A valid email address is required in order to verify the Facebook

account.

Enter Captcha Code in text box.

Click on sign up button

A Captcha Code is test used to ensure that the

response is not generated by a computer, but rather

a person

Fill in info to search for friends OR SKIP STEP.

This step imports your email contacts to help you connect with people you already know

You can chose which friends you would like to add

Fill in information to have site automatically search for people in same groups. OR SKIP STEP.

This step searches Facebook for users with similar information and helps you to connect with people you may have known awhile ago.

You can chose which friends you would like to add

Upload photo. OR SKIP STEP

This step helps people identify who you are

Confirm your account by checking your email that you used to sign up with

Login

Search for Clinical Laboratory Management Association using the search bar at the top of the screen

Click Like to join the CLMA Facebook page

After “liking” you can then leave a message that will be read by all CLMA fans on the “Facebook Wall”

Go to Account

Select Privacy Settings

The rest of the tutorial will teach you how to make your Facebook page more private

Select Customize Settings

Customize your privacy settings by selecting who you want to view your information
