Introduction

Thank you for your interest in the SAP BusinessObjects Explorer® mobile app for iPad.*

Use this demo walkthrough to become more familiar with some of the functionality of the SAP BusinessObjects Explorer mobile app. Learn how you can connect to sample data, explore various data dimensions, change chart types, drill into areas of interest, search, and save your favorite views.

SAP BusinessObjects Explorer is an English only app and the sample data for this walk-through is in English; but, the viewing of non-English data is also supported.

* SAP BusinessObjects Explorer is included with SAP Crystal Server 2011 named user licenses. By using the SAP Crystal Server add-on for mobile solutions license, SAP BusinessObjects Explorer becomes enabled for your iPad.

Once you’ve downloaded SAP BusinessObjects Explorer from our mobile app store, you’ll have a new app named “SBO Explorer” on your iPad.

The app’s home screen shows SAP sample corporate connections and connections to SAP BusinessObjects BI OnDemand.

Let’s start by selecting the “Experience SAP demo” connection.

Let’s select the “Product and Store Performance” data set.

To enhance the viewing experience, let’s rotate the view to see how it fits the form factor of the device.

Rotate your iPad to landscape view.

Now in landscape view, let’s interact with the report. Select the full screen view.
