• We use the Past Continuous to indicate that a longer action in the past was interrupted. The interruption is usually a shorter action in the Simple Past.

• Remember:this can be a real interruption or just an interruption in time.

• When you use the Past Continuous with two actions in the same sentence, it expresses the idea that both actions were happening at the same time. The actions are parallel.

First Conditional• Estructura: If + present, future condición oración principal

• Estas oraciones se utilizan para predecir el resultado que tendrá una acción en el futuro.

Going to• We use Going to for plans and intentions. Examples

• I’m going to study very hard the next year. • I´m going to the cinema tomorrow.

Will/won’t• We use will for predictions.

Examples • I will get a good job.

• We won’t be poor.

Comparativo de igualdad• Estructura: as + adjective + as (+) not so/noy as + adjective + as• Examples: My doll is as big as yours. Her house isn’t so nice as Peter’s.

Comparativo de inferioridad• Estructura: less + adjective + than

• Examples: The blue car is less big than the red one. This skirt is less short than the other one.

Comparativo de superioridad• Estructura: A los adjetivos de una sílaba o de dos sílabas

acabados en -y, -er y –ow se añade –er. narrow – narrower short – shorter clever – cleverer A los adjetivos de mas de una silaba se les añade

el advebio more delante del adjetivo. beautiful – more beautiful

Comparativo de superioridad Examples

• You are taller than me.

• The elephant is bigger than the dog.

• They are more modern than us.

Superlative• Estructura: A los adjetivos de una sola sílaba y de dos acabados en

–y, -er y –ow añadimos –est. the + adjective + -est short – the shortest fast – the fastest heavy – the heaviest

Con los de más de dos sílabas añadimos: the most + adjective beautiful – the most beautiful

Superlative Examples

• It is the most difficult.
