IntroductionIn the congress we will have seminars about current topics of
the Agricultural sector in Chile such as:
Agriculture in Chile present tense and future challenges.
Trends in Agriculture "OMG, organic and biodynamic"
Water Resources and Environmental Sustainability.
Innovation in agriculture
Food crisis.
Also technical visits to producers and companies related to the
above topics.
Vineyards
Fruit Production
Food and Agricultural Industries
Productions bovine and swine. Workshops to strengthen soft skills.
Cultural activities to show agricultural reality and culture of
our country.

It is the oldest city in Chile founded in 1541, has
modern urban facilities and here are some of the
country's main civic offices, such as Palacio de La
Moneda, the seat of the national government.
Basically it is a residential city, it has large rural
areas, mostly
devoted to
industry and
commerce, in its
surroundings you
can find one of the
areas known for
producing wines of
high level, the
Casablanca Valley.

Located in the IV region of Coquimbo, Second touristdestination, and has a population of 210. 299

It is the second oldest city
in Chile founded on

and stone churches

It is the main container and
passenger port of Chile and
one of the busiest in South
America's Pacific coast.
It is characterized by buildingson the slopes of the hills, with
a great architectural value,
based on Spanish colonial

other non-Hispanic European styles, such as

The region is immensely rich in culture, where it is
located one of the main homes of

Temuco
Located in IX Region Araucana
Region, has a population of 268,720 inhabitantsand a population density of 8.039 inhab. / Km .
This town is known for its landscapes, unique in the
world, decorated by
ancient Araucaria
(Araucaria Araucana)
and majestic volcanoes,which are protected by
national parks.
The region's economy is based on agriculture,
forestry activity, which occupies about 50% of the
labor force. The region produces wheat, oats,
barley, lupins, rapeseed, sunflower, sugar beet,
potatoes and vegetables. Fruit production is low,
highlighting the apples. Ranching grows south of
the region, where there is a large mass of cattle, sheep and
pigs.

Mapuches
The Mapuche, from Mapudungun language, mapu = earth,
Che = people, People of the Earth, also called Araucanos
by the Spanish in the arrival times of these to Chile.
They are a people inhabiting southern Chile, and now are
mainly located in the region of Araucania, giving it the name
of Temuco, meaning "Water of Temu" Temu is the name of
the tree of myrtle (Luma Apiculata) .

Mayor University
The Mayor University is a private university founded in 1988Chile, teaches 64 undergraduate majors and 63 master's
programs that taught in two venues and seven campuses in
Santiago and one in Temuco.
The congress will take place on campus Huechuraba,
Santiago and Temuco campus.
Mayor its the first and only Chilean university that provestheir quality achieved under international standards with U.S.
accreditation agency Middle States Commission on Higher
Education (MSCHE).

Travel Information
The Woco will start in the city of Santiago, and will
include visits to the cities of La Serena, Valparaiso and
Temuco, before returning to Santiago.
