2021 Primary 3 Assessment Matters This notification serves to
provide key information such as assessment weighting, assessment
dates, and assessment format, components and topics. Home support
and parental encouragement are important success factors in
students’ learning. Kindly ensure that your child/ward revises
his/her work regularly and prepares well for all his/her
assessments this year. Assessment Weighting The table below shows
the weighting (in percentage) for each termly assessment.

HA – Holistic Assessment (non-weighted), WA – Weighted Assessment
(weighted), and EYE – End-of-Year Examination (weighted).
Assessment Dates and Absentees for Assessments The assessment dates
for the year are appended. These dates are also available under the
Calendar sub-page in the school website. Please ensure that your
child/ward is present on the assessment days. Students who are
unwell and not able to sit for the assessment are to see a doctor
and submit a valid medical certificate for their absence. Medical
certificates or letters issued by Traditional Chinese Medicine
(TCM) practitioners will not be accepted.* Assessment Format,

for the various subjects are as attached. Kindly look through the
document to better assist your child/ward in preparing for the
assessments. Please keep the copy for your reference throughout the

Examination Rules and Regulations The Examination Rules and
Regulations can be found in the Student Handbook 2021 (Pages 24 to
25). Please stress the importance of compliance to the rules and
regulations to your child/ward. The school takes a serious view of
students who are caught cheating, attempting to cheat or helping
others to cheat. For such cases, disciplinary action will be taken
and the students will be awarded “zero” mark for that test or
examination paper. We trust that the information provided will give
you a good head start in preparing your child/ward well for the
